I want adventure in the great wide somewhere. I want it more than I can tell. And for once it might be grand, to have someone understand. I want so much more than they've got planned.

I'm sick of being told that who I am is not good enough. If my Mum tells me I need to change one more time, I'm going to kill her. Frankly - mother - I like who I am, and it took me a long time to get here. So fuck off. Cos I'm awesome and more importantly I'm staying the exact way I am. If you don't like it, then you know where to go, okay?

Oh, that felt good to say even if I'm not saying it to her :D

If I had one wish right now it would be to witness Sarah Palin & Margaret Thatcher in the same room together. Anyone else think that would possibly be the most phenomenal thing in the entire history of the world? Yeah, me too.

I'm inspired by many people on my flist doing video posts, so although I don't have anything exciting like a webcam I'm thinking of doing a voice post. And what I want off you, my glorious flist, is give me questions to answer! I may not use them all, but I'll certainly use at least some. And the weirder the better :D

So, this frog story. To cut a long ordeal short, my mother is absolutely terrified of frogs & toads and the so on. She comes running up to me hyperventilating about a drowning toad that I must save before it's too late. Like most people, I promptly burst into hysterics. My mother was not amused.
We have a pool in our back garden, and it seems that a toad had somehow gotten trapped in the skimmer. My mother elected me as the saviour, not taking into account my TERROR OF ALL THINGS SLIMY THAT ARE ALIVE AND CAN JUMP ON MY FACE.
Anyway, I took a gander and screamed a bit. To get to the toad I'd have to either reach down and grab it [never] or reach around the sides of the plastic basket and pick that up, while the toad sat in it, ready and able to pounce on my face at any moment. I would have been unprepared and defenceless. :(
So I ordered my mum to fetch some marigolds to prevent slime transfer, put them on and attempted to syke myself out. I had to give myself a bit of a pep-talk, but I managed to do it. The plastic basket was officially out of the skimmer and tossed a foot away as I sprinted around the other side of the pool, shrieking like a little girl.
But it didn't end there, oh no. The basket containing the toad was close to the pool, and so ran the risk of the toad merely jumping right back into the pool and the whole ordeal repeating itself. So now I had the problem of having to get the toad out of the basket and into the nearby bushy pondy area. The toad then decided this would be the perfect time to jump out of the basket and into my fence. I kid you not.
So I couldn't use the basket as a transporting aid. But I had to move the toad. This is where the big white net came into play. It's used to skim the top of the pool and collect any left over leaves or bugs or whatever. I placed it on the ground next to the toad, and it finally after many moments jumped in. Then I ran like a MAD WOMAN shouting like a banshee and deposited it in the bushy pondy area. But not until I chased my Mum around with it for a while. I have never seen her look so terrified.

Conclusion : I AM AWESOME.

Oh, and I named him Henry. He looked like a Henry, idk.

they say we'll never see half as much as they did.
its true that we never saw Vietnam or world war 2.
we didn't see our mother cry when JFK died.
but we've lived our whole lives being told we're
not good enough. we've seen anorexia and bulimia
cause skinny just isn't skinny enough.
we saw columbine and the twin towers fall
we've seen a lot of greed and even more hate
our generation fights a different kind of war, with themselves
but we've seen just as much as them
maybe even more.

I feel so patriotic right now. I love England, and Great Britain. There is literally no greater place on earth. We're a tiny island but we still got 4th place up there with the super powers of the world :)

Just incase I needed any further proof that my dog was AWESOME, he just goes a gives me some more. (My other dog's awesome too, but for the sake of this story lets leave her to one side). A repeat of this happened, (I know, right? It's like a attract the fuckers.) However this time it was a daddylonglegs. I have a HUGE fear of these little tykes. So, anyway, I think - My Mum. My Mum, as with most Mums, is the only one who can deal with this. She'll kill it for me. She'll sort it out.

But, alas, but Mum was asleep (not surprising at 1am, to be fair) and so I obviously couldn't wake her. After the last time she even specially said Emma, if you wake me up with a creepy crawly problem I will kill you with my bare hands. So, naturally, I didn't. Instead I rolled up a magazine, attempted to gather some courage and kill the sucker. No such luck. IT WAS FLYING OKAY? I DON'T HAVE GOOD AIM USUALLY, SO I HAD NOT A CHANCE. That and I was a bit terrified. I stood the other end of the room to it at all times (I did take away from this some exercise, however. That fucker moved fast). So I had no idea what to do, and I couldn't wake my Mum.

Anyway, so then I hear a door open upstairs. I wonder - if she awake? Did I schreech that loudly when I saw it? Anyway, I go to the door and stage whisper MUM! and she replies. Long story short I ask her to come down and she kills the little shit. YAY! Turns out my Dog Buddy had gone upstairs and paced outside her door making noise, then had scratched on the door to get in. HE WOKE HER UP SO I DIDN'T HAVE TO AND SHE COULD SAVE ME.

That's true fucking love, right there.

Mrs. Weasley Twin

Laughter is important to you. You want a guy who's never boring, who can always put a smile on your face, and who can pull the best of pranks and never get caught. Or possibly two such guys. Because let's face it, they're pretty much a two-fer. You get one, you get both. Even if one of them's only a friend, he'll still be around so much you'll feel like you're married to him, too. Sure, they may not seem like the most mature guys in the world, in a traditional sense, but just ask them about their business plan. When they drive you nuts by relentlessly testing their latest inventions on you, you can console youself with that huge stack of cash and dragon-leather jacket. Besides, you know you're powerless against those stereo smiles.

Take The Harry Potter Husband Test at HelloQuizzy

I wanted Ron, but hell if I'm going to reject a Weasley. Besides, I'll still see him at Christmas and Birthdays and the like. We can scurry off to a cupboard somewhere and have our own celebration.

P.S. I just finished HIMYM Season 3 and am officially in love. Like the mood theme? I'll probably go back to Bones sooner or later, but I'm loving this one for noooow :)

P.P.S. My Chuck DVD Boxset arrived today. YAY!

:)

I'm obsessed with the Olympics. Adlington is a legend. And David Price! Tina Cook!
And look at how cute David Florence looks! He's the middle guy *Squees*

But, because I live in England, to watch it live I have to be up at 3am onwards. So, yeah, I stayed up and watched Phelps win his fourth and fifth gold medal the other night, and then the cycling with Emma winning a Silver. Then I fell asleep, lol. I was lying on the sofa with a blanket over me when my mum came downstairs and was like ". . . Emma?"

Yesterday I got my AS Results which go aaaas follows:
Psychology: A (I got 100% on the first paper XD)
English Language: A (99 out of 105 *dances*)
Theatre Studies: B
Biology: D LOL

I must explain. I got a D because frankly, me and science do not mix. I cannot do it, and I struggled horrendously. I'm dropping it anyway, and so Universities won't get to see the mark, which is still a pass and so decent. I'm really happy with all my results, to be honest. Surprised at how well I did, but happy :)

So only one year to do to maintain/improve my results, and then my A Levels will be dooone :)

My laptops broken and it's now in the hospital getting repaired :(
I think if it breaks one more time, I'm just going to lose it and throw it out the nearest window.

Also, The Dark Knight is a fucking epic film of win. I'm madly in love with Mr. Bale, and Batman. I feel a mild obsession coming on.

Dr.Horrible's Sing Along Blog has literally made my life. Two of my favourite actors in one scene? NATHAN AND NEIL YOU ARE KILLING ME.
And that ending :( I cannot express how much I love it! You will fall in love with the villan, and want to kill the hero. Whedon is a genius. And I absolutely adore NPH's voice. It's gorgeous.

For anyone who hasn't seen it yet I urge you go here and squee before it gets taken off tonight :(
